Come to guild for an evening program given by our members for our members. Members will share their quilting related business or side hustle such as quilt shops, long arm quilting, Quilter’s for hire, Product reps for notion or fabric manufacturers, On-line sellers, Quilt related charities and/or just Adventurous members sharing their favorite quilting tips.

Ilene Bartos is from Urbandale, Iowa and has been sharing her love of quilting for more than 20 years through books, teaching engagements, patterns and kits.  Ilene has a love of nature that inspires much of her designs and creative work.  She enjoys abstract designs, graphic lines and shapes with color to express emotions in her work.  October’s lecture and trunk show will focus on innovative ideas for borders, sashings and more to enhance the creativity in your quilts.

Little Bits of Whimsy Quilt Show 2025 Announcement!

The dates are set! Our Chairpersons Karen Snell and Renee Puccetti have announced May 17th and 18th of 2025 will be the dates for our bi-annual quilt show to be held at Judson University. We look forward to another outstanding show and welcome you to join us next year as we showcase our talented quilters and bring you vendors, raffles, scrap sales and new for us this time will be our Boutique!

Sign-Up for a Workshop to Build Your Skills!

The NSQG is a not-for-profit organization, prices for workshops reflect average instructor fees in addition to any guild administration costs associated with producing our educational offerings. Prices are subject to change each year. Workshops are filled first come first served, are open to NSQG members first and if not filled are open to the public.

Please note: New 2024-2025 workshops for Fall are now offered at an Early Bird Special, now through our July Pot-Luck and Program Reveal.

About Us

The Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild is primarily made up of individuals from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago who share a passion and appreciation for the art of quilting. In recent years, since the pandemic, our membership has expanded to include people from across the United States, Canada and around the Globe!

Our Guild’s mission is to foster the art of quilting and to encourage a high standard of design and technique in all of quilting’s various forms. We do this through our meeting programs, educational workshops, our various communication avenues (newsletters, websites, social media) and special events such as our Winter Picnic, Retreats and our Biannual Quilt Show!

Consider joining us for one of our local or on-line meetings! Our Guild meets monthly on the third Thursday of each month (except December) either in person or on Zoom. All meetings begin at 7PM. In person meetings are held at : Rolling Meadows Community Center (3705 Pheasant Drive, Rolling Meadows, Illinois) with doors open at 6:30pm and Zoom meetings are opened up at 6:45pm. All times are Central Standard Time (CST).

Members are Free and Guests are $10 when we have a speaker, $5.00 for meetings without a speaker. Guests may attend 2 meetings per Membership Year.
