Next meeting: January 20, 2022 on Zoom

Our January meeting is with Claudia Squio.  Zoom links are sent out to members one or two days prior to the meeting. If you would like to attend our January meeting as a guest, you can register here.

Welcome to NSQG!

Join us for our monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month (except December) at 7PM at Rolling Meadows Community Center (3705 Pheasant Drive). (Please see our alternate plans elsewhere on this page during the COVID-19.) Click here for map and directions.

Social Media Volunteer Needed

There is an opening for a volunteer to do engagement posts on our Facebook account. If you are a social media maven, please contact Maria Ross at to help out. This is a job you can do in your pajamas!

January Speaker: Claudia Squio

Claudia Squio is an expert in cartonnage, the art of making boxes. Join us for a primer on cartonnage, and then two special workdshops. Head over to the program page now and see what it’s all about! Guests are also welcome at our lectures by registering here.

Directories Now Out

Directories are out! We have discovered a couple of corrections for page 7–workshop dates for Alice Ridge are June 17 and 18, not May; and workshop prices are no longer fixed, but are variable based on the speaker. Please see program page on the website for correct pricing.

Coming May 20-21, 2023 -- Our Next Quilt Show

We are pleased to announce that Linda Wallin and Renee Pucetti have volunteered to be co-chairs for our next Quilt Show in May 2023 at the Holiday Inn, Elk Grove. The quilt show is our major fundraiser, and generally pays for two years of guild expenses, including hiring the top-flight speakers and teachers we come to expect at our monthly meetings.

It takes ALL of us to do our part to put on such a large event. Please consider reaching out to Linda and Renee at to share your ideas, volunteer for a committee, or help with any of the hundreds of tiny details that it takes to put on this major event. There is an immediate need for a chair and members for a raffle quilt committee, which is one of the biggest features of this fundraising event.

Most importantly, get ready to share all the wonderful quilts you’ve done since the last time we were able to gather and show off our work!
