Don’t forget, our May meeting is THIS evening! Thursday, May 16th, 2019. We will meet at the Rolling Meadows Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive, Rolling Meadows. Doors will open at 6:30pm. The May meeting of our guild is our Annual Meeting. It is the meeting we hold our elections of new officers. Our meeting will start at 7:15pm.
Our speaker this month is Kim Lapacek. Kim will present her Lecture and Trunk Show “Wildly Careening Into Quilts”. Kim hails from Poynette, Wisconsin. Kim’s lecture is sure to be a fun evening! Additional information about Kim and her lecture and workshop can be found HERE at this link: https://nsqg.club/programs-overview-2/kim-lapacek/
- Last month we introduced our August Speaker, Cheryl Sleboda, and offered early workshop sign-ups. At this May meeting we will introduce our September Speaker and offer early workshop sign-ups as well. To sign-up for 2019-2020 workshops, don’t forget that you will need to renew your membership. Our membership form will be available at the entrance when you come to the meeting or you can download and print it from our website.
From our Quilt Show Chairs!
- Sue L. has let us know that her committee has enough plastic clam shells for the scrap sale at our quilt show. Please do not bring any more clam shells at this time. However – they are still collecting fabric scraps (anything larger than 2″ square) and current books, and welcome those donations.
- We still have plenty of quilt and doll raffle tickets available for you to sell. Each member is asked to sell at least $25 worth of tickets (total quilt + doll). If you haven’t done so yet, please pick up your tickets at the raffle quilt table at the meeting tonight. If you HAVE already sold yours – please consider picking up some extra tickets to sell to your friends.
- All NSQG members are requested to make and donate at least one mini quilt for our mini quilt sale at the quilt show. All the details are on our website https://nsqg.club/

Also on Thursday please welcome the Faithful Circle Quilters Guild with their visiting opportunity quilt, representatives from the group will be here and they will have tickets on sale.
I look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday!
