We are thrilled to welcome renowned textile artist Maday Delgado of Sustainable Textile Design to teach two creative quilting workshops this October.
While her Friday session is already fully booked (with a waitlist available) for Sashiko Hand Stitching, we have a few coveted seats left for her full day Saturday class: The Art of Improv Curved Piecing. Don’t wait to sign-up!
If you’ve ever felt intimidated by sewing smooth curves or wanted to break free from rigid, traditional quilt templates, this workshop is designed for you. Maday will guide you through organic, freehand cutting and fluid piecing techniques without using templates or pins, helping you build confidence, play with color movement, and create truly dynamic, original quilt blocks.
Workshop Details:
- Date & Time: Saturday October 17, 2026 from 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Location: Hampton Inn and Suites, 1 Randhurst Village Drive, Mt Prospect
- Experience: Sewing experience using a sewing machine is a pre-requisite. Students don’t need to have experience sewing curves.
We have limited spots available—don’t miss this opportunity to learn directly from an acclaimed artist and expand your creative horizons.
If you’d like to get on friday’s Sashiko Hand Stitching Class waiting list or have questions about these or any other workshops please email us at programs@nsqg.club
We hope to see you there!
