Three times a year, in February, July and November, members of the Guild meet for a weekend of sewing, inspiration, guidance, laughing, eating and a whole lot of fun! Sleeping is optional. Participants work on their own projects and, although we do not have a special teacher for these retreats, occasionally someone will demonstrate a new tool or technique. Each person has their own table space for sewing, cutting or planning. There are cutting tables and ironing boards for everyone’s use in the sewing room, too. You do not need to bring your own iron, as the hotel supplies theirs for us to use.
Bring all the supplies you need for your projects. Special projects are usually not planned as part of the event, unless the people within the group decide to do so beforehand. These retreats present a wonderful opportunity if you are having difficulty with a project since there are many very talented quilters who attend and are willing to share their knowledge.
The cost to attend a 20187 Sew-In is $60 per person for your share of the ballroom expenses, plus your meals and guest room expenses (approximately $95, plus tax, for double occupancy.) Non-members/guests are welcome, based on availability. We will begin accepting check 60 days before each retreat. The hotel has a restaurant, and there are many others close to the facility. Coffee makers, mini-refrigerators and microwaves are in each guest room. Water service is provided in the sewing room.

Be sure to send your $60 to our PO Box as soon as you know you are able to attend, in order to not be disappointed. (But not more than 60 days beforehand, please) If there are too many people who have signed up, the postmark will be the deciding factor in determining whose check will be returned to them.

The sewing room is available from 8:00 AM on Friday until 6:00 PM on Sunday. You may come and go as you need to. Get there as early as you can, and stay as late as you are able. Some people have to wait until after work hours on Friday, or leave for a few hours for family commitments. This is all just fine.
There are no trips planned at this time.
