Jerry Hug’s lecture “How to Get Better Photos of our Quilts” will be presented at our guild meeting on Thursday February 18th at 7:15 pm.
A retired professional educator, Jerry is a photographer whose work has been nationally published. He is active in the Photographic Society of America and has lectured throughout the country for the P.S.A. (Photographic Society of America). Jerry teaches Digital Photography across the nation. His program will inform us about lighting, how to edit our photos, how to share our photos on the internet and how to make good prints for our records.

By popular demand, the same workshop is being presented on both Friday, February 19th, and on Saturday, February 20th. On each day, the workshop hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Please be on time as Jerry has much to share with us. Jerry has asked that participants bring a sack lunch because there will not be enough time to leave for lunch. These workshops are for individuals who use their iPhones, iPads and Smart Phones for picture taking.
Before class, each participant needs to download onto his/her smartphone, iPhone or iPad these apps:
- Snapseed (free)
- Touch/Retouch ($1.99)
- Perfectly Clear ($2.99)
Two weeks before the workshop, Jerry will send a few photos that each participant should download on his/her iPhone or iPad. These photos will be learning images for practice during the workshop. Everyone can also bring one (small quilt – Lap size or smaller) along to photograph for in-house photography at the workshops. (Bringing a quilt is optional.)
