Description
Workshop Description:
There is a no sewing in this class.
Building on Thursday’s lecture, MJ will introduce you to the four rules of color interaction and show you how to apply them to your own work to create dramatic effects – regardless of your subject matter. You’ll learn how to:
- Use the power of Rule #1-Value Contrast to create sparkle, add dramatic focal points, create exciting visual movement, and portray metallic effects without using metallic material.
- Use the power of Rule #2 and #3-Manipulating color to understand why and how color changes its appearance when paired with another color. With that knowledge, you’ll discover how to enhance or transform the appearance of a color in your work.
- Use the power of Rule #4-Saturation Contrast to make your quilts glow as if they were lit from within.
