Lecture: “Quilt Tales”
Thursday night, March 15, 2018
A quilter’s life is full of creative exploration, experiences and mishaps! Here’s a lighthearted look at one quilter’s journey as her love affair with fiber continues to evolve. Chris will be “formally” attired when she pulls quilts and other intriguing items from her overflowing suitcase. Listen on, as she spins tales of the quilts and what she’s learned from each of them.
Friday March 16, 2018 – ‘Replique Cone Flowers’ Quilt
Treasured photographs make treasured quilts. Learn how to make treasured heirlooms by machine appliqueing directly onto enlarged photocopies. Students will learn the replique technique while stitching cone flowers. By learning the technique using the cone flower grid students will then be able to take their very own treasured photographs and replique them into a very personal treasured quilt.
