Fabric Scraps and Random Threads

Deanne will speak about her quilting history and her love of appliqué and scrap quilting. She will share some tips and techniques for successful “scrapping”!

This workshop focuses on needle-turn hand appliqué and accurate piecing. Students can choose to bring their machine and work on piecing the blocks or they can just bring the strips of background fabric and focus solely on appliqué. Class includes tips for preparing templates, making bias stems, preparing appliqué motifs for stitching, etc.
Additional cost of $18 for the corresponding book (includes 8 other patterns!). Purchase at workshop, or get a head start by purchasing online from Deanne. Use NSQG22 to receive the workshop price.
Warm and Wooly

This workshop focuses on wool appliqué on fabric. Students can make colorful, large seasonal banners that can be displayed alone or on the pieced background. Class includes tips and techniques for successful stitching!
