The Art of Mixing Textiles in Quilts

March 19, 7PM

Workshop

LOGistics: Log Cabins with Mixed Textiles

March 21, 9:30AM-4:30PM

Learn to sew using alternative textures with Lynn Schmitt. Her LOGistics pattern can be made as either a large pillow or table mat. The project mixes wool, silk dupioni, silk matka, wovens, and batiks with traditional and contemporary cottons.

Oh the possibilities when you begin to add once-considered forbidden textures into your quilting and sewing projects!

Kit fee: $49.95 for LOGistics pattern and all the fabric to complete the project top and binding. The back is also included for making a pillow. We have kits in several colorways, each with a mix of contemporary and traditional fabrics, large and small scale prints, reproduction prints, batiks, wools and silks. The chain is created with silk dupioni, the borders are wool, and the binding is cotton. Interfacing, as needed, is included in this class kit.

Additional supplies: TBD
