Three times a year, members of the Guild meet for a weekend of sewing, inspiration, guidance, laughing, eating and a whole lot of fun! Sleeping is optional. Participants work on their own projects and, although we do not have a special teacher for these retreats, occasionally someone will demonstrate a new tool or technique.
The $60 fee covers your portion of the meeting room, which is our sewing room for the weekend. We get a special block room rate at the hotel, arranged through our retreat coordinator. At checkout, you will need to pay the hotel directly for your guest room, whether it is a single or shared room.
From November 2019 forward, we have a NEW LOCATION! We are now at the Hilton Garden Inn in Schaumburg. The price for the meeting room remains the same, and the room rate will be similar (taxes vary slightly). It is near Woodfield Mall, so we still have many many retail and restaurant choices. For those participants who have been to Lake Forest/Mettawa Hilton Garden Inn, you will feel right at home. Please remember, ALL ROOM RESERVATIONS/REQUESTS MUST GO THROUGH THE RETREAT COORDINATOR! Especially as we get to know this new staff. And don’t forget to use our new registration form below (either mailed in or online). Your request for a reservation will not be considered complete without it!
Be certain to add these important dates for these exciting, entertaining, get-away weekends to your calendar! For more information contact email@example.com.
Some things to note:
To register for one of our upcoming retreats, use our secure online system, or mail a check for $60 plus a completed registration form (below) to the address in the page footer. Participation is limited to 30 people.
To be fair to all, reservations are opened on the dates below, and are first come, first served. For mail-in registration, postmarks are the standard and online registrations are date stamped. Mail-in registrations with postmarks prior to the first registration date will be considered after ones mailed/submitted on the correct date.
