Our next retreat is November 13-15th, 2026
Registration for the November retreat will be opened on Saturday September 12th, 2026.
Changes that remain for 2026:
– The Registration Form and Payment is altogether on the item listing. Please see the link below to take you directly to the retreat item listing in our shop. There is no longer the two-step process of filling out a form and then putting the retreat item in your cart. The form and the retreat item are combined together.
– Hotel Reservations. We have contracted with the hotel to continue with a discounted room rate. We are no longer going to handle the room reservations within NSQG, instead you will need to contact the hotel directly and provide our room block information to the registration desk in order to get our discounted rate.
Some notes about making your room reservations:
–Use the Hilton.com website to make your reservation. Inside your confirmation email will be a link to download a PDF file for making your hotel reservation. Inside the letter is a URL the hotel gave us to book your room. PLEASE COPY AND PASTE this URL into your browser. If you don’t copy and paste and just click the link there’s a good possibility that the hotel reservation system will only pick up today’s date and not put in the discount code. So PLEASE Copy and Paste only.
Be careful about being sent to 3rd party reservation sites or apps such as Trivago, Priceline, Kayak, Hotels.com, Expedia etc. If you accidentally use a 3rd party website to make your room reservation, this is considered outside of our contract and we cannot help if something needs to be corrected, it does not count towards our room block, you won’t have access to the rooms that are held on reserve for our room block and our contracted rates will not apply.

– The June 2026 Retreat will continue the Hotel Stay Optional approach. NSQG members have requested an option to attend retreats but be able to go home due to pets, spouses, work or other obligations. Our contract will still require us to sell a number of room nights but the Board has decided to continue this approach for the July retreat for our members.
About our Sew-In Retreats
Three times a year, members of the Guild meet for a weekend of sewing, inspiration, guidance, laughing, eating and a whole lot of fun! Sleeping is optional. Participants work on their own projects and, although we do not have a special teacher for these retreats, occasionally someone will demonstrate a new tool or technique. Retreats are at the Hilton Garden Inn in Schaumburg, located at 1191 Woodfield Road in Schaumburg.
The $60 fee covers:
– Your portion of the meeting room, which is our sewing room for the weekend, from 8am Friday to 6pm Sunday. (Early access is not allowed.) Your space includes a six-foot table, access to electrical, and some shared cutting/ironing spaces.
– Access to the special block room rate. (About $125 for two nights in a shared room). If you have a single room or stay more than two nights, you will get the equivalent block rate.
You bring:
– A current membership. (Membership runs July 1-June 30)
– A machine, sewing supplies, and your projects.
– Respect for other attendees’ “social space”.

To be fair to all, reservations are opened on the dates below, usually before noon, and are first come, first served.
Our registration is online only. You are not guaranteed a spot until we receive your payment. If you don’t have a smart phone or a computer, please find a buddy to help you register.
