Joining us for our April meeting is Mary Fons.

We have a special Double Feature this month as we are hosting Mary Fons for 2 lectures, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Come for one or for both and stay in between. The cost to attend this event is $10 for guests and is free to all members of the guild.

Our doors will open at approximately 3:30pm for Mary’s first lecture: Quilts in Fine Art which will start at approximately 4:00pm and last for an hour.

Between the two lectures we will break for a meet and great with Mary and a chance for you to have something to eat. For those that have pre-ordered a boxed ‘dinner’ from Panera, your boxes will be available for pickup. Feel free to bring something from home or from another restaurant if you’d like to eat with us! Table space is limited so think about something you can hold (like a sandwich) in your lap. The guild is providing water in bottles for your convenience.

Members of the guild who are also part of the Quilt Show Committee will be gathering during the break for a quick meeting. If you think you’d like to be part of the quilt show but not sure how to get involved this is your chance to join us and see what it’s all about! The Quilt Shows always take many hands, talents, efforts and heart to make them a success, and there’s always something that needs to be done!

Mary’s second lecture will start at approximately 7:00pm. If you are coming just for this lecture please try to be here by 6:45pm as that is when everyone will most likely be getting to their seats. Mary’s second lecture is The Modern Quilt: Roots and Frontiers.
